Common questions
Is a Gradr Exchange grade an official PSA or CGC grade?
No. Gradr Exchange gives an AI prediction to help you decide before you spend money on professional grading. It is not affiliated with PSA or CGC, and the number is for informational use only — not an official grade, appraisal, or financial advice.
Why is my grade lower than I expected?
We grade conservatively, the way real graders do — erring low rather than generous. Centering carries the most weight (40%), and the worst side rules. Off-center cards, soft corners, or a print line on the surface pull the number down quickly. Better, sharper, well-lit photos also produce a higher confidence score.
The app said my card might not be authentic. What does that mean?
When a card shows signs that look off — wrong holo pattern, unusual fonts, color mismatch, or pixelation — we flag it rather than guessing. A flag is not a definitive verdict; it’s a prompt to inspect the card more closely.
How do I restore a purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase, open the app’s upgrade screen, and choose Restore Purchases. Your subscription and entitlements will re-sync.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Profile → account settings and choose to delete your account. This removes your account and associated personal content, subject to limited information we may retain as described in the Privacy Policy. You can also email us and we’ll help.
Why does grading need the camera and not my photo library?
Grading integrity. Live camera capture keeps grades tied to the real card in front of you, which is why the app uses the camera rather than existing photos.
